紐約老中輸個精光　躲在曼哈頓橋裡住一年

美國紐約一名華人中年男子，竟被發現在曼哈頓橋墩搭屋為家，每天冒險攀爬進出只能容得下他一人的「套房」。最近他要「回家」之際，被路人以為要跳橋自殺，這才揭開他的悲涼遭遇。

40多歲的喬（Joe）13年前從上海到美國追夢，雖然在餐館擔任廚師，但好賭輸光身家，被迫成為街頭遊民。他說在曼哈頓橋底搭屋多年，但五度被拆，一年前決定「上樓」，在大橋入口位於汽車道下層中，用唐人街撿來的木板加上單車鎖，搭建成簡陋木屋棲身。

喬上個月從單車道爬回家時，一名司機誤以為他要自殺而報警，他的套房才曝光。喬說，其實他正在研究要怎麼在單車道邊另一位置加建一間套房。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
