馬偕醫院發明針頭回收器　避免遭針扎

施打胰島素的糖尿病病人在筆型針頭移除時，常因針頭回套而有針扎風險，馬偕醫院護理部創新小組發明簡易的針頭回收器，不但獲得全國創新獎項，民眾反映也良好。
 
根據馬偕針對施打筆型胰島素的糖尿病人進行問卷調查，80名病人、家屬注射完畢後，逾90%會將外層塑膠套回套針頭，但其中70%以上曾被針扎。
 
馬偕護理部小組長呂姍薇表示，團隊經過一次次試驗，後設計出特殊的加工器械，可在市售寶特瓶飲料的塑膠瓶蓋上方，打出一固定大小的圓孔，恰好可讓筆型針頭穿過、卡住，再轉一下，針頭便自動掉入瓶中，民眾再也不必冒險、靠雙手把塑膠套回套針頭。（邱俊吉／台北報導）
