歐盟統計局 Eurostat 周二(4日)公布最新報告，1 月份歐元區生產者物價指數(PPI)，季調後下降 0.3%，降幅大於預期的 0.1%。而 12 月份的 PPI 則上升 0.2%。這樣的數據讓外界對於歐元區可能會出現通貨緊縮的擔憂，又再度加深。

與前一年同期相比，則 1 月份的 PPI 下降幅度達 1.4%，同樣大於預期的下降 1.3%。上一次出現下降是 11 月份的 0.8% 降幅。

在上述數據出爐後，歐元兌美元匯率維持走強，EUR/USD 上升 0.13%，報 1.3753 美元。

與此同時，周二(4日)盤中的歐洲各主要股市維持走高趨勢。倫敦金融時報 FTSE 100 指數上漲 1.1%，泛歐指數 EURO STOXX 50 上升 1.1%，法國 CAC 40 指數上揚 1.4%，而德國的 DAX 指數則走高1%。
