2月26日，香港《明報》前總編輯劉進圖遭歹徒襲擊，身中多刀，引起新聞界嘩然。由於時間點正值劉進圖突遭撤換總編輯，外界也懷疑與中共高層刻意打壓有關。由於香港近期一連串打壓新聞自由的事件發生，在2月23日的反滅聲大遊行後，明(3/2)日 香港記協將舉辦「新聞界-企硬-反暴力-默站行動」邀集新聞工作者，為劉進圖默站5分鐘，譴責暴力行為。（完整影音報導）
