前金塊總教練卡爾(George Karl)在ESPN的節目中爆料，他接獲一通來自馬刺球團內部人事的電話，對方告訴他今年球季結束後，球隊基石大前鋒鄧肯(Tim Duncan)可能會宣布退休，卡爾說：「鄧肯是史上最棒的大個子球員之一，他的退休讓我感到非常遺憾，沒有鄧肯的馬刺隊，很難吸引我去看他們的比賽。」（龍柏安／綜合報導）
