FDA反菸宣導 目標鎖定青少年

美國食品暨藥物管理局（FDA）下週將推出最新一波反菸宣導，目標族群鎖定抽菸人口越來越多的青少年。

美國食品暨藥物管理局今天發表聲明指出，即將展開的全國公共宣導，主旨在於防止青少年抽菸，以及降低12歲至17歲之間的抽菸人口。

聲明中指出，在能夠預防的疾病與死亡案例當中，抽菸仍是在美國國內名列第一的致病因素，據統計每年導致逾48萬人死亡。

統計顯示，美國國內平均每天有3200名年齡在18歲以下的青少年，生平首度嘗試抽菸，並且有700名未滿18歲的青少年因此成為每天菸不離手的癮君子。

耗資高達1億1500萬美元，名稱為「真正的成本」（The Real Cost）的反菸宣導，將透過電視、電台、網路以及大型看板、公車站牌廣告等不同媒體，在長達1年多的期間內，向青少年傳達吸菸有害健康的訊息。
