重砲巴恩斯萬人迷　澳洲啦啦隊最愛

【王覺一／台中報導】坎培拉騎兵這次有5名辣妹啦啦隊隨行助威，被問到最欣賞的澳洲球員，她們異口同聲喊出：「巴恩斯(Jeremy Barnes)。」再問巴恩斯「為何啦啦隊都喜歡你？」他大笑自信說：「當然，我很帥啊。」
 
原來巴恩斯在小聯盟打球時，娶了美國老婆Lauren，也是這次隨隊的啦啦隊成員之一。其餘啦啦隊員愛屋及烏，自然覺得巴恩斯是萬人迷，不過他是騎兵不動的4番重砲，球技當然也不在話下。
 
26歲的巴恩斯在2009至12年在費城人體系的小聯盟打球，主要守備位置是三、游，也能守二壘，最高層級打到3A，今年轉戰獨立聯盟，出賽93場，打擊率3成16、16轟、58打點。這是他第1次到台灣，他希望能有好的表現，並一再強調「希望有機會到台灣或日本打球。」
