二戰老兵無親無故　7百陌生人替他送葬

【於慶中／綜合外電報導】英國一位二戰老兵，漂泊半生無親無故，死後沒有近親可以送殯，但卻有700名陌生人志願送他最後一程。

珀西瓦爾(Harold Jellicoe Percival)二戰時，在皇家空軍機場擔任地勤人員，隸屬Dambuster部隊，其中一項任務是協助抬出被德軍射殺機組人員的遺體。戰後他四處漂泊，連郵政地址都沒有。

珀西瓦爾上周去世，終年99歲。負責他葬禮的人員，見珀西瓦爾無親無故，就在當地報紙的《訃聞版》刊登啟事，邀請曾為軍隊服務的人抽空出席他的葬禮。有退休警員看到這個啟事，又在自己《臉書》(facebook)貼文，引起很大迴響。

結果，昨天(11日)有700名陌生人出席珀西瓦爾的葬禮，當中不少是皇家空軍、海軍、軍人及海員，甚至有美國空軍人員。
