國際能源總署(IEA)在周二發布的年度報告中說，到2016年，美國將超越沙烏地阿拉伯，成為全球最大原油生產國，屆時俄羅斯產量亦將落後至少一年。

巴西產量上升，亦削弱了OPEC國家的角色，該位於巴黎的機構說。

但有一點值得注意，自2020年代中期開始，當北達科達州與德州油田生產高峰已過，中東將再度登上原油生產成長的世界領袖，IEA說。

該地區是唯一低成本原油的大型來源，該機構補充說到。IEA提供西方工業國家能源政策發展與協調供給的建言。

上個月，美國能源資訊局(EIA)說，美國今年將成為全球最大石油與天然氣生產國，超過俄羅斯與沙烏地阿拉伯。過去二年，美國與俄羅斯能源生產約略相同。

IEA將這項預測提前了一年。在去年的年度報告中，該機構預測，美國將於2017年，超越沙烏地阿拉伯，成為全球最大生產國。

該報告亦說，到2035年，全球能源需求將上升三分之一，需求大多來自亞洲國家。
