車城夏艷 向日葵花海180公頃

〔自由時報記者蔡宗憲／車城報導〕車城鄉位在恆春半島路口，洋蔥產季後的田地一片荒蕪缺乏特色，車城鄉公所最近在鄉內各處種植大量向日葵，成為夏秋之際唯一的花海景觀，為當地帶進更多旅遊商機。

車城為營造農村花海，今年在保力、屏一九九線統埔段、埔墘、新街公路旁撒下大把種子，種植向日葵、波斯菊花海廣達一百八十公頃，連日遇雨水滋潤，更讓花朵嬌豔欲滴。

車城鄉長林錫章說，過去都在洋蔥田剛休耕的春季撒種，因為遊客數較少，失去了推展觀光的機會，今年特別選在夏季撒種，並舉辦花海鐵馬趴趴走活動，希望遊客騎單車體驗恆春半島的農村景觀。
