【綜合報導】美國總統歐巴馬在23日播出的專訪中似乎暗示，即使美國政府取消援助埃及，也無法改變執政軍方的做法。
 
歐巴馬接受美國有線電視新聞網（CNN）專訪時說：「你知道，我對埃及的感覺是，援助本身或許無法改變臨時政府的做法。」「但我認為，多數美國人的想法是，我們必須非常小心，以防外界認為我們違反我國價值和理想，去援助、煽動某些行動。」
 
另根據不具名的白宮國安官員透露，美國已經更新了先前「可能的空襲目標名單」，給予歐巴馬介入敘利亞局勢更多的選項，其中包括使用巡弋飛彈，或讓美國戰機進入敘利亞領空等。
