苗栗逾1萬戶停水　周六晚上10時恢復

【王玉樹／台北報導】潭美颱風昨天上午沖垮位於苗栗三義鄉火燄山一條口徑50公分的輸水幹管，導致苗栗苑裡、通霄、西湖、後龍等鄉鎮共1萬6000戶從昨晚10時起就停水，台水公司目前已將搶修人員、機具及材料運到現場，一旦雨勢稍歇，土石停止滑落就進場搶修。預計24日(周六)晚上10時可以恢復供水，停水時間預估為72小時。台水會先在這些地區設置14個臨時供水站與調派4台水車因應，並呼籲停水用戶關閉抽水機電源慎防火警。
