海大研究獨步全球 有機會人工繁殖珊瑚

【陳偉周/基隆報導】國立台灣海洋大學校長張清風投入20年研究珊瑚生長機制,今天上午10時許在校內發表成果,研究發現珊瑚體內卵黃素蛋白變化,珊瑚成長成正相關;同時也發現卵黃素蛋白(vitellogenin),可作為提供珊瑚胚胎幼體發育的營養物質。張清風說:「如果能將珊瑚基因與荷爾蒙環境機制控制得當,未來有機會進行人工繁殖珊瑚。」
 
研究成果受國際肯定,已於今年6月率先在內分泌學領域,國際學術期刊Endocrinology《內分泌期刊》官方網路揭露,9月正式將研究成果發表在期刊內。
