【綜合報導】北韓為建立開放形象，對外欲迎又拒，特准接待外賓的羊角島飯店，內設有在平壤絕對見不到的娛樂項目，包括賭場、專放中國或廣東歌的卡拉OK，還有 乒乓球、保齡球甚至按摩室，當地人禁入，門可羅雀。平壤外表光鮮，不乏金壁輝煌一面，但多是金氏父子孫三代所享，平民苦不堪言。

至今仍實行共產公有制度的北韓，人民沒有私有財產，據在平壤做生意的中國人透露，北韓工人工資極低，月薪約只有1000至2000北韓圜，約台幣230到470元。

官方所定北韓圜與人民幣的兌換率是16：1，但黑市價卻高至1000：1。不過，北韓沒有自由市場，沒東西可賣，要錢也多餘。

北韓商店多半是觀光客光顧。
