警方查扣車輛被偷，警顏面盡失，霧峰分局今逮捕竊嫌，正是原車主

【蔡智銘／台中報導】今年5月底彭姓男子涉嫌酒駕，機車被警方查扣並送到交通大隊屯區保管場，沒想到停放在保管場的機車卻在6月9日上午遭竊，但警方直到6月14日才發現，而不敢立即報案，拖到23日才向霧峰警分局四德派出所報案，被市議員在議會踢爆，讓警方顏面盡失。霧峰警分局偵查隊根據案發當天路口監視器畫面，鎖定偷賊就是33歲的車主彭立國，但案發後彭就離家不知去向，經過多日追查，發現彭嫌已經逃到新北市三重一帶，今天凌晨前往埋伏，將彭嫌逮捕並起出贓車。


警方表示，彭嫌以打零工為生，需要代步工具，又沒有錢繳罰款贖車，才會起意把車偷回來用。
