【周佩萱╱綜合外電報導】現年約18歲的巴基斯坦聾啞少女，在法院上用手語闡述來到英國後的悲慘遭遇，不少陪審員聽了當場落淚，2005年6月當時年約10歲的她，從巴基斯坦被賣到英國，成為現年84歲的加害者亞夏(Ilyas Ashar)的性奴。
 
她被囚禁在亞夏家的地下室，不僅成為亞夏的洩慾工具，還是亞夏一家人的傭人，包辦所有家事，如果食物煮得太熱或太辣，就會被痛扁，每次家人要「使用」她時就會閃燈，動作太慢，就會直接被拉著頭髮拖出地下室。
 
她在2009年獲救，這起案件因陪審員無法獲得一致判決，日前再度開庭審理，亞夏最終以13起罪名定罪，亞夏現年68歲的妻子和46歲的女兒，先前已遭法官以偽造文書和走私人口等罪名定罪。

【陳意佳／綜合報導】蔡依林（Jolin）今在淡水碼頭為明天將發行的演唱會DVD《Jolin蔡依林Myself世界巡迴演唱會台北安可場》宣傳造勢，她手持仙女棒點燃炮台，卻因提早點燃引信、冒出濃煙，嚇了自己一大跳，她趕緊掩耳，表情驚慌。晚間8點她將和150名歌迷一起搭油輪，遊淡水河2小時，在船上吹海風、欣賞演唱會DVD。

TOMATO義式餐廳_ 店址:台南市東寧路51號2樓 營業時間:一~日: 11:30 am - 2:00 pm 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm 平均消費:簡餐類500up，排餐800up，用餐須加10%服務費 消費日期:2013/09/17 好讀網誌:http://floor7.pixnet.net/blog/post/164978010 -- 每次經過東寧路的明新麵包，看到二樓的TOMATO都很好奇，趁著這次慶生來嘗試看看。 行前做了功課原來與樓下的明新麵包是關係企業，明新麵包已經是台南老招牌了， 爬了一些食記跟粉絲頁的照片，很期待這次的大餐。 本來想吃看看洋蔥牛排，但聽朋友的評價TOMATO好像不錯， 價格來說也算是中高以上的價格，所以決定砸重本就選TOMATO吧。 上到二樓會有服務生帶位，位置不多而且很安靜，感覺是個優雅的用餐空間， 但是今晚好巧不巧有些扣分的表現，譬如沙拉有小飛蟲停在盤子上沒注意到， 還有服務人員不小心跌跤盤子摔了一地感覺很痛lol我想是圍裙有點長的緣故。 撇開這些意外讓我們來瞧瞧今晚的大餐兒吧。 首先是餐前麵包，義式香料麵包附上奶油及羅勒醬。麵包烤得香軟， 吃完可以再續，沒吃完可打包，以烘焙店起家，麵包完全沒問題，滿分。 再來是沙拉，香橙合鴨沙拉：鴨胸很軟嫩，口味很像煙燻的，搭配生菜及柳丁很適合。 另外一道法式尼斯沙拉：有生菜、水煮蛋跟鮪魚，感覺普普。 湯品我們選了義式洋蔥清湯，是重口味的湯品，另外一個是奶油濃湯口味的， 想說等等要吃肉食想選清爽點的湯，但是感覺兩道味道都蠻濃郁。 再來是前菜，油漬醋魚佐烤彩椒沙拉：口感偏酸，很像微酸的炸土魠魚 （感覺老闆聽到會不開心）但我不是很喜歡。 酪梨番茄鮭魚塔：這個就真的很清爽，但感覺很像是吃第二盤沙拉，有鮭魚番茄酪梨 終於正式要進入主菜了燈燈燈燈！除了主菜還有配菜，服務人員會推餐車， 讓你任選有沙沙醬、烤玉米餅、燙花椰菜等，吃完想吃可以再續，一邊搭配煮菜享用喔。 首先登場的是：美國頂級冷藏厚切無骨牛小排 $990 雖然看起來份量不多，但是牛肉的厚度及油脂，完全可以滿足空虛的胃。 另外可以搭配蒜片，還有海鹽、玫瑰鹽等調味。不過有點可惜的是， 應該點五分熟就好了，七分熟有點太過了。不過還是挺美味。 另外一位主角是：爐烤安心豬肋排 $620 醬汁把肋排緊緊包覆，非常入味，很容易跟手指難分難捨。 而且不像有些美式餐廳的肋排，看起來好像分量很多，實際上沒有什麼肉， TOMATO的肋排非常多肉及多汁，大推！相較之下，牛排的表現就比較不那麼突出。 餐後的飲品為了解油膩選了檸檬青及養生花茶。 吃飽喝足就是甜點時間了，甜點有千層派、烤布蕾及布朗尼， 感覺都很吸引人也一直很令人期待，我們都選了布朗尼， 加上我們有當日壽星還送了生日蛋糕跟拍立得。 不過不得不多甜點真的有點令人失望， 端上來其實是很上相的，有香蕉、布朗尼、冰淇淋跟餅乾附上一杯espresso。 一般來說不是應該布朗尼烤得熱騰騰然後挖一球冰淇淋在上面融化，看各人喜好再倒進 espresso，搭配食用也比較不這麼甜。 可是這個完全不是這麼一回事，依照冰淇淋的硬度跟布朗尼的溫度， 不難判斷甜點應該都已經裝盤好，在冰起來，感覺一點都不新鮮而且冷冰冰， 而且espresso也是一點溫度都沒有，甜點真的是讓我覺得整頓飯最可惜的部分。 報告完畢。 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 203.163.197.135

【周佩萱╱綜合外電報導】堪稱全球最先進機械人「亞特蘭斯」（Atlas）17日在香港大學展示，示範耍太極驚豔全場，不過「亞特蘭斯」在示範跨過地上一排石磚時，就不太順暢還突然失足，幸好有鋼纜吊著才沒有倒地。

負責研究的教授表示，現在「亞特蘭斯」還是嬰兒，仍有很多要學，這次示範失敗，是由於右腳眼受傷，而上周四則是左腳眼受傷，還有多方面需要修復改良。教授預估，6年後機械人將可協助救災。

不過「亞特蘭斯」在示範觸摸物品時，又突然停止動作，出現錯誤，工程學院院長田之楠表示，機械人價值約台幣5700萬，目前全球只有7個，唯一一個不在美國的，就是在香港大學的這座「亞特蘭斯」。

標題[問題] 請問高雄賣水族用品的地方

【陳亮諭、盧麗蓮／綜合報導】藝人康康2011年5月和妻子張家霈舉行婚宴，當時伴郎伴娘團聲勢浩大，藝人Makiyo、王思佳、湘瑩（王書喬）、何嘉文、錢帥君與丫子等6位伴娘穿低胸白禮服亮相，相當搶眼，如今這6人中卻有5人衰事纏身。

當時笑咪咪的Makiyo、湘瑩和丫子，半年後發生「醉毆運將」事件，重創形象和演藝事業。何嘉文則飽受慢性腎臟炎的困擾，臉整個圓一圈。錢帥君也曾因和運將發生爭執，痛罵對方「神經病」差點吃上官司，道歉後和解收場。6位伴娘5位有狀況，連康康受訪時都忍不住說：「這點我也覺得奇怪，伴娘們怎會狀況連連。」

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】美國總統歐巴馬昨（18日）正式提名國防部前首席法律顧問強森（Jeh Johnson）出任國土安全部部長。前部長納波里塔諾（Janet Napolitano）8月辭官至今，國土安全部部長至今仍為懸缺。

歐巴馬與副手拜登18日在白宮共同宣佈這項人事決定，不過仍有待參院審議表決，強森方可正式入主國土安全部。歐巴馬說，保護美國民眾的安全是他作為總統最重要的職責之一，他提名強森是因為他對美國面臨的各種威脅有深入理解。歐巴馬稱，在五角大樓期間，強森在設計、執行反恐政策與推翻軍隊同性戀禁令上有卓越貢獻。

強森生於1957年9月11日，律師出身。他曾擔任紐約的助理聯邦檢察官。1998至2001年應前總統柯林頓之邀出任空軍部法律顧問，2009年被歐巴馬任命為國防部法律總顧問，直至去年辭職。

【陳亮諭／綜合報導】東吳大學傳出暑假期間在外雙溪及城中校區，155間教室裝設電源感應器及刷卡機，上課的電燈及冷氣不但限時，費用也要學生支付，引起師生反彈，學生抱怨，「不是有繳學雜費？為何要再外負擔電費呢？」老師也嘲諷，「難道要學古人鑿壁偷光嗎？」

今天出刊《時報周刊》報導，東吳大學今年委託私人公司到校評估，決議102學年起實施「限時供電」、「使用者付費」等措施；開學後師生知悉怨聲四起。校方開會因應後指出，他校實施教室按課表供電措施，行之有年，東吳起步較晚，「限時供電」及「使用者付費」將合一，絕非與學生爭利，下月起正式實施，會將公布供電的實施辦法。

餐廳名稱：耘坊私房菜 消費時間：2013年/8月 電話：(02)2752-5388 地址：台北市大安區忠孝東路四段216巷32弄11號 (忠孝敦化站) 每人平均價位：210 ========================================================= 圖文版：http://peko721.pixnet.net/blog/post/32648173 ========================================================= 前陣子在團購網上看到「耘坊私房菜」烤鴨三吃的團購券，馬上問了身邊的朋友，獲得大 家一致讚賞，於是順利成團。 「耘坊私房菜」位於東區美食的一級戰區216巷，看起來應該是開幕不久的店家，紅彩球 還高掛著。 店內就是很一般的中式合菜風格，而且顧客大多是上了年紀的老人家，我們這桌資深少女 有點格格不入，但管他的，今天是來吃烤鴨的。 松柏長青 本來以為會是深綠色的蔬菜哩，結果是道涼菜，爽脆的高麗菜絲搭配花生、蔥絲等配料， 醬汁微酸，有點像泰式料理的做法。 雲南豆干肉絲 鹹香好下飯，讓PEKO一口接著一口。 烤鴨 平常預約烤鴨三吃一隻要價980，比一般大飯店便宜許多，本以為鴨子會比較小隻，但並 沒有ㄟ，服務人員說每隻鴨都是4.5公斤，片鴨前服務人員把烤鴨拿到桌邊來讓我們看一 眼，就端到後方去處理了。 在「耘坊私房菜」的烤鴨三吃包含片皮烤鴨、鴨肉絲炒時蔬以及福菜鴨架鍋or炒鴨架。 片皮烤鴨 整隻烤鴨在經過師傅純熟的刀工下，切成厚薄適中的片皮烤鴨，看到焦脆誘人的鴨皮， PEKO猛吞口水，等不及要大口品嚐。 先將甜麵醬均勻塗抹在餅皮上，再將鴨皮、鴨肉、小黃瓜以及蔥段包入餅皮中，最後再沾 點甜麵醬，就成了PEKO最愛的烤鴨捲，一口咬下脆、嫩、鹹香的滋味，讓PEKO發胖都甘願 。 生菜蝦鬆 說到蝦鬆絕對少不了爽脆的生菜，將蝦鬆放置在生菜上然後送入口中，鹹香爽脆的口感讓 PEKO舉起大拇指說讚！ 福菜鴨架鍋 鴨肉第三吃登場，鴨架搭配酸香的福菜後，湯頭既濃郁又爽口，PEKO連喝了好幾碗，好想 請老闆再加湯啊!! 紅豆芝麻球 紅豆餡甜而不膩，搭配外層QQ的麻糬，飯後來一顆真不賴。 你猜猜，你猜猜今天這頓這多少錢錢?? 原價1,686元，團購券只要1,050元，有沒有很超值，五個人平分一個人210元，這應該是 近期買過最超值的團購券了。 由於烤鴨是需要較長的烹調時間，所以訂位時店家就會提前預備，像我們預約七點的位置 ，雖然人尚未到齊，但服務人員還是告知得照時間上菜，否則鴨肉會過老，這告訴我們「 耘坊私房菜」的師傅對烤鴨的品質有一定堅持，還有想吃美味烤鴨請準時，推薦給正在看 文章的你/妳!! -- PEKO の Simple Life 部落格-http://peko721.pixnet.net/blog 粉絲團-https://www.facebook.com/pekoblog -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 36.229.33.119

【林金聖／台北報導】台北市1名80歲王姓男子，日前步履蹣跚獨自走在撫遠街，由於王男走路不穩，路人深怕王男會發生意外，於是報警請求警方予以協助；警方獲報後趕緊帶領2名警員趕抵，順利找到王男。在警方詢問下，得知王男想要回家，雖知道住家地址，但不認得路，於是3名警員便耐心地護送王男返家。 

由於王男獨居無人照顧，警員隨即主動聯絡王男兒子，王男兒子聽聞消息後，立刻趕回老父家中，並對警員的細心協助深表感激。

【大紀元2013年10月19日訊】 一名去年被控殘殺動物，被列為高危罪犯的女子，向卑詩最高法院提出上訴，指早前裁決部份禁令影響她重投社會，認為不公平．最高法院經審理後，星期三決定駁回女子上訴，只作出輕微修改。
　　
23歲的女子Kayla Bourque，去年10月，將殘殺家中飼養狗只，以及虐待家貓的片段上載至互聯網，被控虐畜，藏有武器罪名，警員同時在她家中檢獲一批兒童色情照片。
　　
女子其後判刑9個月，以及守行為3年，並要遵守46項禁令，包括宵禁，禁止飼養動物，不可使用互聯網，以及遠離18歲以下人士。
　　
女子同時被列為高危罪，並遷到溫哥華居住。
　　
被告由於不滿部份禁令對她不公平，將限制她和其他人交往，以及難重投社會，早前向卑詩最高法院提出上訴。
　　
法院最後駁回被告上訴，只就其中兩項禁令作出輕微修改。◇
