| 前進火箭有條件 魔獸盼組「三巨頭」

「魔獸」霍華德(Dwight Howard)究竟何去何從？近來早已攻佔全美各大媒體版面，包括休士頓火箭在內的多支球隊，都傳出積極運作，盼能獲得這位明星中鋒青睞。此時卻有消息傳出，霍華德向火箭提出加盟要求，盼他們能找來第3位具有「頂級薪資」水準的球星，加上原有的哈登(James Harden)合組「火箭三巨頭」。
火箭日前在洛杉磯正式與霍華德本人會面，拉攏魔獸加盟的企圖相當明顯，包括火箭兩大名人堂球星歐拉朱萬(Hakeem Olajuwon)、崔斯勒(Clyde Drexler)，甚至是中國「移動長城」姚明，都傳出扮演「說客」，希望能替休士頓迎來這位禁區悍將。
根據《休士頓紀事報》(Houston Chronicle)報導，魔獸除了對自己是否適合火箭有所顧忌外，更明白向火箭球團提出要求，希望他們能找來另一位具有「頂級薪資」水準的球星，加上球隊主將哈登與魔獸本人，打造出「火箭三巨頭」的奪冠可能性。
目前火箭方面已經清出約2000萬美金的薪資空間，足夠吸引魔獸加盟，但很明顯的，霍華德希望能依循熱火三巨頭模式，企圖打造出足以衝擊冠軍的班底。
霍華德是否真能降臨休士頓，目前還不得而知，但火箭為了爭取魔獸，顯然是不惜一切代價，日前就已傳出球隊可能交易林書豪與艾西克(Omer Asik)兩大先發主力，在魔獸爭奪戰展現了勢在必得的決心。

【綜合報導】印尼蘇門答臘北部今天(2日)下午發生地震，已造成5人死亡，包括一名兒童，另有超過50人受傷，其中30人傷勢嚴重。
下午2時37分，蘇門答臘北部發生芮氏規模6.2的地震，震央距離首府班達亞齊170公里，震源深度約10公里。當地居民表示，震動持續了15秒。

【簡銘柱／台北報導】晚間10時許，一名許姓計程車駕駛，在文山區連撞三輛停在路邊的車輛，現場一片零亂，經過的騎士大呼「怎麼撞成這樣！」，現場只有許姓司機在場，一度傳出受困，所幸司機沒有大礙，只受到輕微驚嚇，警方接獲報案後到場處理，並聯絡受害車主到場，以處裡賠償問題。
