【涂建豐／高雄報導】高雄市長陳菊今晚在天津會晤從北京前往的中國大陸國務院台灣事務辦公室主任張志軍，雙方共進晚餐。陳菊會中指出，感謝張志軍造訪及對此行的幫忙協助，並希望張志軍能協助促成對岸城市積極參與2013高雄亞太城市高峰會（APCS），更表示「兩岸的未來不能互相缺席」，期待未來能有更多正面的交流溝通。
 
陳菊表示，APCS是亞太各大城市的重要盛會，來自世界各角落的城市，會中將就當前城市治理的共同議題與挑戰，進行深入經驗交流與前瞻性討論。在這個全球化的時代，這些議題，將超越所有藩籬，成為每座城市都必須面對的課題。希望張志軍能協助促成中國大陸城市積極參與2013 APCS。

【林浩昇／綜合報導】美國公路安全保險學會IIHS(Insurance Institute for Highway Safety)日前針對12款在當地銷售的新車，進行號稱世上最嚴苛的正面車寬25%小局部正面偏撞測試，結果其中有6款車獲得Top Safety Pick＋的最高安全認證，成績最漂亮的是Honda Civic房車，及Honda Civic雙門跑車，整體評價取得佳（Good）的表現，此車在國內有售四門款，但產地及配備均和受測車不盡相同。

至於獲得Top Safety Pick＋的另外4款包含Dodge Dart、Ford Focus、Hyundai Elantr、Scion tC，則得到可（Acceptable）的評價，其中Ford Focus及Hyundai Elantra國內有售。

而受測未得到Top Safety Pick＋認證的車款有Volkswagen Beetle、Chevrolet Sonic、Chevrolet Cruze、Nissan Sentra、Kia Soul及Kia Forte共6款，評價為合格邊緣（Marginal）或不合格（Poor），其中Volkswagen Beetle國內有售。

雖然此次受測車輛，部份在國內有同型車銷售，但由於產地、配備規格均可能和美國當地有所不同，因此成績僅供國內購車參考。

【綜合報導】美國紐約華裔外科醫生鄭道明(Emil Chynn)，去年高價徵婚，開出如果有人幫他作媒成功，就會捐出30萬台幣給慈善機構，看來應該是沒有結果，現在他又開出新的徵婚方式，表示只要有人幫他找到天命真女，他會提供媒人免費整形手術。
 
鄭道明表示第一次約會成功，就會先給媒人100美元，如果還有第二次約會，媒人就能獲得免費的眼睫毛增長液，或是200美元，第三次約會成功，則提供媒人免費打肉毒桿菌，或是300美元，第四次則能獲得免費玻尿酸注射，或是400美元，如果能進行到第5次約會，媒人可獲得免費的一眼眼睛雷射手術，或是500美元現金的報酬。

【綜合報導】美國德州3日發生一起致命車禍意外，有一架大貨車衝破公路的護欄，直飛到下面的公路路上，貨車撞地後著火自燃，司機當場死亡。

德州公路管理局6日也公布了意外的監視錄影畫面，只見這輛大貨車在當天下午4點半時衝出公路的護欄發生意外，落地後車頭起火燃燒，造成59歲的司機當場死亡，警方還在調查事發原因。
