我也是做理論計算的Group 主要都是跑DFT 如果有接觸的人 應該都知道他的計算量非常龐大 底下開了個話題 那我也一起加入討論好了XD 順便供後人參考 最近老闆也是買了5台這樣的機器 我是負責將這些電腦叢集串起來 我的規格跟h大幾乎相同 機器規格: CPU Intel Xeon Processor E5-2650 * 2 MB SuperMicro X9DRi-LN4F+ * 1 RAM SuperMicro 16GB DDR3-1600 2Rx4 ECC REG * 8 HD WD 500G 64MB RE4 5003ABYX * 1 HD WD 2TBMB RE4 2003FYYS * 1 CHASSIS SuperMicro 825TQ-563LPB *1 OS用 SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP2 使用OpenMPI-1.6.5 MPI Library 使用Intel Fortran Composer XE 2013 for Linux (2013.5.192) 有使用Composer XE 2013內的 Intel Math Kernel Library 主要是BLAS LAPACK FFT 我有關掉HT 因為對於計算來說HT沒任何幫助 反而還會變慢 預留記憶體插槽之後要擴充用 之前job太大 使用的記憶體超過御風者fat node的上限(256GB) 就死掉了 用2個node才解決此問題... NFS的主要規格: Adaptec 6805 8-port PCIe SAS 2.0 RAID Kit Seagate ST3300657SS SAS 15000RPM, 300GB (HD & Kit) * 8 做RAID0 為何不用SSD? 因為當file system多人讀寫 SSD的緩衝一定不夠撐 SCSI硬碟支援多人讀寫 因此多人多工的環境加上SSD壽命問題 完全不用考慮SSD 主要的軟體是VASP5.2和Gaussian09 這些軟體都是用Fortran寫的 Makefile 編譯參數 OFLAG 御風者用-O2 -ip 效能最好 Xeon用 -O3 -ip -axAVX 效能最好 AMD機器 用他們的編譯器 效能沒比較好 連GotoBLAS效能也比MKL差 結果AMD機器用intel的編譯器和MKL效能最好... 我們也是御風者的用戶 御風者的是使用AMD的CPU 浮點運算效能頗弱(以DFT計算來說) 御風者是強在使用InfiniBand的網路架構 所以還是要看程式怎麼寫 程式寫得不好 平行效率就非常差 這裡的平行主要是MPI架構 不討論SMP架構 所以Code還是很重要 因此影響到體系 以VASP來說 單純算結構Opt的話 御風者單機24core效率最佳 或是一台12core 走InfiniBand跨2個node 效率也不錯 如果使用超過12core 只會變慢 不會變快 用越多core 會越慢 如果VASP是做找過渡狀態 使用NEB方法 平行效率非常好 core越多 計算越快 御風者96core(2個node)是極限了 效率這裡最好 Xoen的話5個node(共80core)效率最好 我們也只有五台這樣的機器 所以沒辦法測下去 所以還是看你的體系決定用什麼電腦 以結構Opt來說 同一個job(學長從以前測到現在 所以就以他的標準) Xoen E5-2650 *2 共16core 只需要8分鐘 御風者 24core 需要32分鐘 以上是單機跑 跨node 我以NEB計算為基準的job Xeon E5-2650 *2 用5個node 80core 只要7小時 御風者 用2個node 共96core 將近7小時(不到7小時) 可能原因是1Gbps和InfiniBand的速度比起來根本是天壤之別... 所以這個比較 沒啥意義... 新的CPU強是強在新的AVX指令集 Xoen的Cache也比較大 跟廠商借了ivy的i7的頂級款 用AVX2 還是一樣被sandy的Xeon E5 打假的.... 所以時脈似乎不是重點 也難怪Xeon的CPU特別貴(廢話XD) 所以還是看你要算什麼體系而定... Gaussian09的話 是使用OpenMP架構 所以單機跑效能比較好 Linda那個跨node的library效能超差的 所以就不裝了 不過i7就夠用了 如果用新的CPU 程式沒有重新編譯過 效能是一定跑不出來的 還有我不是資訊相關科系的人 如果我專業術語有錯誤 煩請糾正... 附上機房機器的兩張圖:http://ppt.cc/R9YV http://ppt.cc/pAYW 獻醜了... -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 220.136.177.243

男乳房豐滿如孕婦　病因竟是B型肝炎

【綜合報導】湖北黃石市一名28歲男子，近兩年突然乳房莫名增大，如同產婦胸部一樣，經檢查後發現病根原來是慢性B型肝炎。

該名男子是黃石市一名白領上班族，為了掩飾豐滿的胸部，近年只穿寬鬆的衣服，裡面再加穿一件小背心，他不敢去公共浴室洗澡。特別是夏天，令他感到十分煎熬。他隨後到醫院求診，經全面檢查，診斷為慢性B肝，經過中西醫結合治療，病情逐漸好轉。

專家表示，B肝病毒在入侵人體後，會導致肝功能出現異常，而人體內雌激素的代謝是由肝調節的，因此在肝功能減退後，雌性激素就會在血液中過多積聚，男性B肝患者就可能出現女性化特徵。

偷食物被逮　警方反送賊更多食物

【綜合報導】偷食物被抓到，警察反送小偷食物兌換券，而且還能換到多達3天份的食物，英國史塔福郡(Staffordshire)3月開始實施這項政策，引發不少批評，認為這樣只會增加更多人偷東西。
 
當地警方表示，這項政策只適用在因迫切需要填飽肚子而偷食物的小偷上，3月實施以來，警方送出7次兌換券，表示這項德政是想幫助有需要的人，當地慈善機構表示去年食物兌換券的需求增加170%，顯示越來越多人沒錢吃東西，甚至餓到偷東西吃，政府應設法改善這個問題。

標題[問題] 原地打方向盤怠速會下降

小弟的車是1999年的sentra HV 跑了30多萬公里了 最近因為開車開一開，停紅燈打N檔時怠速會上升到1300轉左右 打D檔就又正常 牽去車行技師說這很典型是怠速馬達有問題 就洗了怠速馬達 沒想到咧…洗完後還是有問題 感覺好像換一台車似的 開一開D檔停紅燈怠速會變得不太穩，降到500轉以下又回來 打N檔還是會小小的升轉再掉下來 然後原地打方向盤(大多是停車的時候)怠速會掉下來 上面這2種狀況30次裡面大概有1、2次會熄火 開車遇到停紅燈或是要停車時，心裡壓力就很大 請各位幫忙看看是什麼狀況 不知道是不是技師有問題… 先謝謝了 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 111.250.151.220

馬英九總統今（11）日將搭乘專機展開「賀誼專案」，參加友邦巴拉圭新任總統副總統就職典禮，並順訪加勒比海友邦海地、聖露西亞、聖文森、聖克里斯多福「三聖」，此行是馬總統第8次出訪友邦，並將成為我國首度在聖露西亞國會發表演說的元首。

馬總統一行人將在下午搭乘中華航空專機，從桃園國際機場啟程，預計中停美國安克拉治加油，抵達紐約大約是美東時間11日下午，隨即參加僑宴，本次出訪首度過境美東大城紐約，加上紐約也是馬總統母校紐約大學所在地，過境相關行程備受矚目。

馬總統12日上午將與美國政要早餐會，包括美國聯邦眾議院外交委員會主席羅艾斯（Ed Royce）和首席議員恩格爾（Eliot Engel），都將親自前往馬總統下榻飯店拜會。總統也將前往九一一遺址參訪，並回母校走走。

馬總統一行預訂13日上午搭乘專機離美，首站先前往位於加勒比海的友邦海地關心地震災後重建、13日晚上抵達巴拉圭，準備參加15日的巴國總統副總統就職大典，並將分別會晤現任總統佛朗哥（Luis Federico Franco Gomez），及卡提斯，並接受巴國亞松森大學致贈榮譽博士學位，隨後接受國際媒體及巴國媒體聯合專訪。

結束巴國行程後，馬總統將順訪位於加勒比海的聖露西亞、聖文森、聖克里斯多福及尼維斯等3個友邦，分別與友邦總督、總理會晤，並訪視中華民國對友邦的援建項目。此行也是馬總統任內首度訪問「三聖」。

專機預計台北時間22日下午抵達桃園國際機場，總統並將在抵台時發表出訪的心得談話。

投縣添3例狂犬病 1鼬獾曾咬人

南投縣鼬獾染狂犬病10日再增3例，包括本月七日在魚池鄉頭社村咬傷婦人的鼬獾，全縣累計9鄉鎮20例確診，被咬傷的婦人家屬聞訊，都疑慮難安。不過，讓村長蕭豐潾擔心的是仍有鄉下人不清楚狂犬病疫情在鼬獾身上爆發且延燒甚廣。

南投縣家畜疾病防治所指出，行政院農業委員會動植物防疫檢疫局昨天新公布南投縣3例鼬獾狂犬病，檢體分別來自魚池鄉頭社村、竹山鎮中坑路及仁愛鄉新生村。

其中，魚池鄉頭社村送驗的這隻鼬獾，7日下午在一處菜園內咬傷一名婦人的後腳跟，鼬獾被婦人活逮送驗，婦人就醫後已施打狂犬病疫苗，密切觀察中。

魚池鄉頭社村日前被鼬獾咬傷的黃姓婦人，昨天不在家，但他先生接獲村長通知，得知咬人的鼬獾驗有狂犬病陽性反應後，仍很鎮定地說「怎會這樣？我太太被咬後就送醫打預防針，至今人尚健康沒有副作用，老天保佑，希望會沒有事情。」

魚池鄉頭社村長蕭豐潾說，昨天下鄉拜訪老人家，宣導狂犬病疫情爆發，呼籲不要亂抓野生動物尤其鼬獾等食肉目動物，當場就有村民阿伯說，「什麼事呀! 鼬獾可以抓來吃，前不久才在稻田看見一隻鼬獾，發現死亡多日，就丟棄不管。蕭村長憂心地說，多日來走訪鄉間老人，發現很多老人家或鄉下人不看報紙，也不看電視新聞，不知狂犬病燒到家門，防疫部門還要加油。

南投縣20例鼬獾狂犬病確診案例，分別是魚池鄉4例、仁愛鄉3例、國姓鄉3例、信義鄉2例、鹿谷鄉2例、埔里鎮2例、竹山鎮2例、水里鄉1例、草屯鎮1例。分布的行政區仍維持9鄉鎮，今天將到發生狂犬病陽性反應的村落施打疫苗。
