【綜合報導】馬爾地夫警方在本周二「逮捕」一顆椰子，因為他們認為這顆椰子被下降頭，足以左右今天在當地舉行的總統大選。

據當地報導指出，這顆椰子上方被寫上阿拉伯文，並被放置在一間做為投開票所的學校旁邊。這顆椰子被學生發現後，立刻通報師長及警方。而警方到場後認為，這顆椰子疑被下降頭，上頭所寫的阿文應是咒語，因此立刻將椰子帶回警局。

警方後來還找來法師鑑定，而法師最後確認椰子「無毒」，猜測可能是場惡作劇。

【綜合報導】去年發生在印度班加羅(Bangalore)的外籍女大學生遭8人集體性侵案，6名邀逮捕的惡狼遭判無期徒刑，刑度比印度性侵相關法令修法前更重。

法官在判辭中指，殺人犯只是毀滅一個人的形骸，而性侵犯則是摧毀一名女子的靈魂和聖潔，受害人因遭到性侵而休學，帶著驚恐離開印度，必須判處適當懲罰，否則無以彌補。

事發在去年10月13日，當時受害人在班加羅就讀印度大學國家法學院。她跟朋友在車內遭8名男子襲擊，被強行帶走後遭到集體性侵。警方迅速破案，逮捕7人，包括1名未成年犯，另1名20歲嫌犯目前仍在逃。受害人之後休學離開印度返回母國，身分依法不能曝光。

去年12月16日新德里巴士性侵案前，印度法律規定集體性侵的最高刑度是監禁10年。當局其後修改法例提高性侵刑責，雖然新法例沒有追溯力，但處理本案的法官仍然依循新法精神，判6名犯人無期徒刑。

車禍斷腿，竟然流浪南北三市、奔波353公里、前後花了4天才完成開刀。36歲油漆工葉政勳7月11日在新北市淡水區發生車禍，左大腿骨折，但最初收治他的淡水馬偕醫院沒為他開刀，轉診到台北榮總，也因急診塞爆排不上刀，任他在急診室躺了兩天，最後他花1萬2千元包救護車至高雄義大醫院，14日才完成手術。醫改團體批醫院讓患者須自力救濟才能開刀，有夠扯。

【突發中心／新北報導】昨天晚間11時許，貢寮發生一起潛水客溺水意外，被救上岸的男子送醫時已失去生命跡象，目前仍在搶救中。

警消表示，溺水的鄭男與兩名同好一同至福隆海邊潛水，兩名友人紛紛上岸後發現鄭男不見蹤影，正著急趕緊報案時，一名他們不認識的余姓潛水客將鄭男拉上岸邊，但鄭男似乎已失去呼吸心跳。

救人的余姓男子表示，當他潛水完返回岸邊時，看見不遠處有亮光，便朝那游去，發現鄭男面部朝上，躺在海底約3公尺深，沒有被任何網子困住，但並未含住嘴巴上的呼吸器，余男見鄭男背上的氧氣瓶還有氣，便按下充氣閥灌氣至救生衣，使他浮出水面並拉回岸邊送醫，而鄭男確切的溺水原因，仍有待警消詢問相關當事人後方能釐清。

【許敏溶╱台北報導】包括導演侯孝賢等藝文界人士，今下午齊聚台北市公館蟾蜍山下的「煥民新村」，希望搶救北市最後一個山城眷村，曾在此度過40歲生日的侯孝賢說，政府與地主台灣科技大學不該看到建築物老就想拆，建議台科大三思後行。  

興建於1952年的煥民新村位在公館蟾蜍山腳下，居民多為空軍作戰司令部眷戶，藝人費玉清和張菲都在這成長，歌手伍佰剛從嘉義北上打拼時也曾落腳於此，侯孝賢則是在1987於此地拍電影「尼羅河女兒」並度過40歲生日，侯說，台科大為興建停車場、新大樓，打算拆掉這村子，希望台科大多想想，只要將此地整理乾淨，再請台科大設計系學生加以設計，便可在這舉辦各種展覽，等於是台科大校園的延伸，也保留歷史記憶，一舉兩得。
