【謝岱穎／高雄報導】統一獅怪力左打郭岱琦在今(15日)晚於澄清湖球場對義大犀牛之戰，於1局上就從林克謙手中轟出右外野飛出球場的超大號全壘打，而且還是在大逆風的情況下轟出，神力驚人。這一轟也是林克謙生涯被敲的第8支全壘打，其中就有4轟是遭郭岱琦的毒手。

郭岱琦在5 局又敲出超前分數的安打，獅隊先發投手羅錦龍投完前6局被敲6安打掉3分，6局結束，獅隊以6比3領先。

據美國《赫芬頓郵報》報導，衣索比亞的一位農夫近日聲稱自己已經160歲，但苦於沒有書面材料可以證明這一點。這位壽星名叫艾巴(Dhaqabo Ebba)。近日，他在奧羅米亞電視台錄製了一份聲明。視頻中，他對當地的歷史了如指掌，甚至可以說出1895年義大利入侵衣索比亞的事情。據他回憶，那時他有兩個妻子，還有兩個都能放牛的兒子。

如果有文件可以證明他所言屬實，艾巴就是世上最長壽的人了。之前的世界紀錄保持者是法國的雅娜·卡爾芒(Jeanne Calment)，她去世時122歲。上個月，玻利維亞的卡梅隆·弗洛雷斯·羅拉(Carmelo Flores Laura)也稱自己123歲了，相關記載表明他的出生日期是1890年6月16日，但他並沒有被金氏世界記錄在案，因為他的證據是洗禮記錄而非出生證明。

在艾巴生活的地區，人們習慣口口相傳，所以沒有任何相關的書面記錄，也缺少證人，因為他的同齡人都已經不在人世了。雖然艾巴還沒有正式成為世界上最老的人，但他也很有成就感，因為他的牙齒比他的大兒子的還要多。現代的醫學技術也許能夠證明他的年齡，現在相關單位已經做出安排，準備進行相關檢測。

【綜合報導】芬蘭研究當地3千對雙胞胎，發現較早學會說話和閱讀的，長大後比較容易變得愛喝酒。

這項由赫爾辛基大學(University of Helsinki)和於韋斯屈萊大學(University of Jyväskylä)等多所大學共同參與的研究，發布在最近的《酗酒:臨床實驗研究》期刊上(Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research) ，研究中指出3千對雙胞胎中，先學會說話閱讀的人，到了18歲的時候，比後學會說話閱讀的，愛喝酒的機率還要多2倍，每個月平均至少喝醉一次的機率也高出4倍，不過並非表示他們就有酗酒問題。

研究分析較早學會說話和閱讀的人，容易變得愛喝酒，可能因為他們比較願意嘗試有風險的事物，而且這群人也擁有較多的朋友。

【唐鎮宇／台北報導】替上千名口腔癌、乳癌病患重建顏面和乳房，讓他們重拾信心；也曾親手為許多糖尿病患或發生意外者截肢的國泰醫院整形外科主任蒲啟明，行醫20年來因看過許多令人驚駭又不捨的場面，蒲啟明決心讓自己的醫術更精進，「有一天要讓這些病人不再需要截肢！」蒲啟明曾看過因吃檳榔導致口腔癌的病人，手術重建後嘴巴變形而無法張太開咀嚼，卻還堅持把檳榔打成汁「用喝的」；甚至看過病房中有三個病人，但三人加起來只有一條腿，「都是因為糖尿病截肢的關係！」
 
有一次蒲啟明收治一名搬家工人，因工作時不慎碰觸到高壓電，導致左手嚴重灼傷，當時蒲啟明窮盡一切方法，仍無法改變該工人截肢的命運。沒想到數年後，這位搬家工人又被送到蒲啟明的眼前，且竟又是因工作中觸電，導致僅剩的一隻手嚴重灼傷。蒲啟明說，這些震撼讓他覺得應再進修，「希望有天能發現新方法，讓這些病人不再需要截肢！」如今他也在台灣大學解剖及細胞生物學研究所博士班進修中。

【大紀元2013年09月16日訊】（大紀元記者慈蕊法國報導）每年的9月份和10月份，法國各大超市商場都會舉辦葡萄酒促銷展會，推出各種物美價廉的葡萄酒。那些很有名氣、一般名氣和稍有名氣的葡萄酒齊聚一堂，靜待消費者選購。

葡萄酒專家表認為，由於今年大牌葡萄酒大多被運往亞洲市場，因而在巴黎的大牌葡萄酒價格和促銷活動前的價格差距不大。但那些名氣較小的葡萄酒價格卻很誘人。

專家還告誡消費者好酒不一定就貴，大牌葡萄酒也不一定都是好的。葡萄酒的質量和製造年份緊密相關，小牌葡萄酒如果選擇好的年份，也同樣口味純正，而且價格便宜，可謂是物美價廉。而大牌葡萄酒如果選擇一個不好的年份，同樣味道不佳。如2007年在波爾多出產的葡萄酒就比其它年份的葡萄酒難賣。

葡萄酒專家詹姆斯•特恩布爾（James Turnbull）提醒消費者選購葡萄酒時不要盲目聽信超市裡所謂的「品酒師」的建議，應該多和他們交流，多向他們提出問題，如果發現他們不能很好的回答消費者的問題或是含糊其辭，消費者就能知道那個品酒師的建議是不可信的。如果是葡萄酒店主親自向消費者推薦某一品牌，他會給消費者講解有關這一品牌葡萄酒的常識和很好的解答消費者的問題，這種情況下，消費者可以放心去買了。
