【綜合報導】巴基斯坦西南部在當地時間24日下午4時29分（台灣時間24日19時29分）發生規模7.8強震，目前已知至少造成46死、200傷。此外，巴國濱臨阿拉伯海的瓜達爾地區（Gwadar）外海竟出現一個前所未見的山狀小島。

據當地民眾與警方回報，這個島長約100公尺，最高處可能距離海面有9公尺。由於距離岸邊不遠，在岸上便可清楚看見。巴國官員稱，該島很可能是地震造成海底地形變動所致，將派員到當地勘查。

【李政遠／雲林報導】本月9日晚上西螺鎮新社里新天宮媽祖紅壇，發生一起財務糾紛槍擊案，西螺警分局今在斗南鎮一處大樓公寓內逮捕開槍嫌犯，起出作案制式手槍1把、21顆子彈，目前偵訊中。
 
警方初步調查，39歲綽號「黑杞」的男子曾啟銘，因與擔任新天宮主委的西螺鎮廖姓鎮民代表有金錢借貸糾紛，曾男獲知廖姓鎮代當晚在廟裡與人聊天，於是前往理論，兩人發生激烈口角衝突，曾男要離開時，突然掏出隨身攜帶手槍，朝臨時紅壇辦公室天花板開一槍，擊中鋁門窗。
 
曾啟銘離開後，越想越氣憤，要求綽號「黑番」的友人開車載他，返回新天宮媽祖臨時紅壇，見到廖姓鎮代還在廟裡，於是獨自下車走到紅壇廣場；廖姓鎮代發現曾男來者不善，起身逃離，曾男持槍朝廖連開2槍，所幸未擊中，跑回車上，持槍逼友人開車載他逃離現場。
 
警方獲報後，多次在路上攔捕追逐，曾嫌車輛曾掉入水溝中，仍僥倖逃脫，今日中午鎖定曾男躲藏處，持搜索票前往大樓埋伏攻堅逮人。
