【周佩萱／綜合外電報導】根據現場目擊民眾表示，這名女性駕駛開往白宮檢哨站，和警衛交談後，開車衝撞路障引發警方關注，駕駛隨後衝撞警車後全速逃逸，連闖數個紅燈開往國會山莊，但不清楚駕駛是否持有槍械，以及為何要如此匆忙逃離，追逐戰來到哈特辦公大樓外結束，駕駛遭開槍擊中，先前傳出確認身亡，不過剛剛警方在記者會上表示，尚不清楚駕駛目前的狀況，也不確定是否遭警方開槍擊中。
 
警方表示開槍當時不知道車上有幼童，不過幼童確定平安，並澄清這應是一起單獨事件，非關恐怖攻擊，先前傳出有3人受傷，目前確認僅1名警員受傷。

【陳培煌／台北報導】第68屆聯合國大會總辯論在本月1日結束，今年共有貝里斯、布吉納法索、甘比亞等16國友邦元首、政府首長或代表為中華民國執言。不同於其他國家稱我為「Republic of China（中華民國）」或「Taiwan（台灣）」，但尼加拉瓜外長發言時竟稱我「China-Taiwan（中國，台灣）」。

外交部國組司副司長徐詠梅今在記者會上表示，尼國認定「China」就是指「ROC」，應是習慣用語，外界不必在言語上過度解讀。外交部感謝友邦執言，也會再向友邦多做說明，以免造成誤解。

根據外交部資訊，執言友邦包括貝里斯、布吉納法索、甘比亞、吉里巴斯、馬紹爾群島、諾魯、尼加拉瓜、帛琉、巴拉圭、聖多美普林西比、聖克里斯多福及尼維斯、聖露西亞、聖文森、索羅門群島、史瓦濟蘭、吐瓦魯。

這份報告針對無尾熊的生活棲息和覓食習慣進行研究。報告指出無尾熊為了避暑，會棲身於不同種類的樹木，但天氣越熱，牠們就會找高大多葉的樹木棲身。但氣候異常之下，樹木的生長就會出問題，導致無尾熊找不到合適樹木棲身，甚至嚴重影響覓食，最後讓無尾熊絕種。

【何哲欣／台北報導】馬王政爭延燒，總統馬英九日前接受專訪說，家人都支持他，果然昨天馬家大姊馬以南就傳簡訊給7名藍委，說她一直沒有看到任何本黨立委在媒體上公開表示支持馬總統，希望能聯絡本黨立委們，「支持主席對大是大非的認知和堅持」。文末還說，她在紐約探親聽到僑界一遍罵聲，「哪有這樣不知廉恥的國會議長？為反對黨的黨鞭關說，等於是叛黨！」

馬以南的簡訊一開始就說這是給7名立委，包括吳育昇、陳學聖、費鴻泰、盧秀燕、賴士葆、孔文吉、王惠美。

馬以南說，「由衷的相信是非對錯是在人心的。總統沒有退路，只有向前。他不可能妥協因為沒有妥協的空間！一定要導亂歸正！」最後呼籲，「希望本黨的立委們加油啊！加油！勇敢的表態支持主席！」並署名，「以南敬上」。

吳育昇受訪說，這不是第一次接到馬以南的簡訊，但這很正常，代表她很關切。孔文吉則說，是第一次收到馬以南的簡訊，很意外，但也可以理解，她作為大姐，對弟弟的關心。
