 【簡竹君╱綜合外電報導】內戰中的敘利亞，許多受僱於政府的狙擊手，在反抗軍佔據城鎮以平名為目標大開殺戒，甚至拿孕婦腹中骨肉當人肉標靶，只為贏得「死亡遊戲」的獎品：香菸。甫自敘利亞義診歸來的英國醫師諾德(David Nott)，公布令人髮指的X光片，一個已成形的胚胎，大腦遭子彈射穿。
 
英國《每日郵報》報導，諾德形容敘利亞是「地獄中的地獄」，狙擊手每日轉換殺人目標與部位，以增加「趣味」，而擊中目標的狙擊手可得香菸為獎勵。
 
諾德說每天早上從第一名送進醫院的傷患，即可得知狙擊手當日以什麼人或哪個身體部位為標靶，「有一天全是臀部傷患，隔天傷者都左胸中槍，再隔天全部的人頸部都遭槍擊。」最令人髮指的是大腹便便的孕婦也不放過，諾德說：「我在戰區義務行醫20年，從沒見過有人以孕婦為攻擊目標。」

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】為巴基斯坦女性爭取教育權利，而遭「神學士」組織追殺的16歲少女馬拉拉，昨在白金漢宮獲英國女王伊莉莎白二世接見。馬拉拉親自致贈女王剛出版的新書《我是馬拉拉》。

馬拉拉在父親的陪同下晉見英女王，並介紹她努力的目標就是讓全世界的孩童都享有受教育的權利。高齡92歲的王夫菲力普親王開玩笑說，英國的父母把孩子送到學校，是因為想把他們趕出家裡，馬拉拉聽了也不禁莞爾。

【周佩萱／綜合外電報導】現年8周大的鬥牛犬梵谷，16日在美國賓州費城西郊上達比(Upper Darby)被發現，牠的雙耳被鬥狗份子割掉後，血流不止的狀態下被丟棄等死，目前當地警方正追緝狠下毒手的嫌犯。

警察表示他們割掉小狗的耳朵，是為了防止小狗在鬥狗場上抓耳朵，而且這麼小的幼犬，通常是用來當作誘餌，往往會被大狗攻擊到體無完膚，獸醫也表示狗狗的耳朵有許多神經和血管，被這樣殘忍割下肯定相當痛。

所幸梵谷送醫治療後，現已恢復元氣，雖然耳朵被割掉，但聽力並無受損，之後就等有好心人家願意領養牠。
