【周佩萱／綜合外電報導】美國軍方為有效控管軍人健康，會定期體檢以刪除過胖軍人，根據美聯社報導，軍人為避免在體檢中被刷掉，不少人在體檢前進行抽脂手術，以快速瘦身通過檢驗。第一次體檢出過胖的軍人，會先被送往軍中減肥營進行瘦身，體檢兩次以上都沒有過的軍人，就會直接被刷掉，因過胖被請出軍隊的人數，2008年還僅約有168人，去年則為1815人。
 
由於體檢結果還會影響未來軍中升遷的機會，不少軍人都希望測出最佳體能結果，一名不願具名的軍中人士就表示，長官們都知道下屬利用抽脂手術通過體檢，因為有些人只是過胖，但健康和體能完全沒有問題，醫生也表示不是體型龐大就不健康。
 
有鑑於此軍方也開始改變肥胖檢驗方式，傳統都是使用量尺測量脖圍腰圍和臀圍，對照身高體重標準值，簡單又快速，但卻往往不夠精準，空軍近來則已改用BMI值測量。

【周佩萱／綜合外電報導】美國俄亥俄州大學美式足球比賽，最著名的看點可不是達陣的時候，通常都是中場的樂隊表演，歷年來精彩的演出早就累積不少名氣，26日對上賓州大學的比賽，中場表演同樣令人驚艷。
 
除了演出經典電影《超人》和《侏儸紀公園》的場面，變換各式隊形，讓人看了目不轉睛，這次還加入《哈利波特》中魁地奇比賽的場景，最後變成2艘軍艦對打，現場響起如雷掌聲，球迷表示這樣的表演已經可媲美超級盃的水準了。

【石永軒／新北報導】新北市理髮店女老闆遭狂砍二十四刀慘死案，警方調閱監視器畫面並清查死者交友狀況，發現其何姓前男友事發前曾出現理髮店，昨將何男帶回漏夜偵訊，何男雖承認兩人曾交往兩年，案發前一晚有到理髮店剪頭髮，但堅決否認犯案，但警方發現何男手腕有可疑抓痕，除此之外還搜出死者遺失筆電，已將何男拘留調查釐清案情。

【許麗珍／台北報導】由於東北季風逐漸減弱，轉為偏東風，水氣較少，中央氣象局表示，今各地大多是可以見到陽光的穩定天氣，只有東半部地區和北部山區可能有零星小雨。嘉義觀測到清晨低溫僅15℃，創下今年入秋以來最低溫的紀錄。

中央氣象局指出，今白天的高溫會比昨天略高，預測北部及東半部地區約25、26℃，中南部地區約28到29℃，感覺舒適。但早晚輻射冷卻作用明顯，還是會比較涼，預測的低溫北部地區大約17、18℃，中部地區甚至只有16℃上下，南部及東半部地區則在18到20℃之間，中南部地區的日夜溫差相當大，提醒民眾注意氣溫變化，適時增減衣物。另，台灣沿海空曠地區以及各個外島還是可能出現8到9級的強陣風，也有較大浪高，若要前往海邊活動務必注意安全。

【林益民／台北報導】針對立委質疑調查局採購中國軍方生產的通訊產品，法務部調查局今天下午發布新聞稿指出，調查局並未採購華為公司的E-173行動網卡，但從去年起向中華電信申租一群行動電話門號，做為內部專用網路群組，中華電信針對每一門號同時提供一個華為公司E-173行動網卡給調查局使用。
 
調查局指出，內部專用網路群組是封閉網路，資料僅能在中華電信機房設定並限制的封閉網路內傳送，無法外傳到Internet或其他地方，並無資料外洩的問題。

大統、富味鄉等油品案一再爆發，造成許多民眾驚慌，紛紛將不良油品棄倒，恐造成環境污染。環保署長沈世宏上午答覆立委質詢時表示，環保署將發函各縣市環保局，要求清潔隊員在回收時，必須將廢棄食用油及容器一併回收，不得拒絕，也就是說，民眾如果認為食用油有問題，可將整桶油都交由清潔隊員回收處理。

立委趙天麟上午在立法院社福衛環委員會質詢指出，大統、富味鄉食用油品案爆發後，有民眾擔心家用食用油品不安全，就直接倒入馬桶進入下水道，恐造成環境或河川污染，也傳出部分地區清潔隊員，拒絕回收裝油品的廢棄油瓶。

趙天麟指出，據他調查，台北市中正區的清潔隊員，對民眾裝有食用油的油桶，都拒絕收受，並要求民眾先倒光油再回收，台北市萬華區的清潔隊員還建議民眾，廢棄食用油如果不會導致馬桶堵塞，可以倒在馬桶裡沖走，而高雄市前金區的清潔隊員則表示可以約定時間來回收，三地三種不同做法，讓民眾不知如何是好? 因此要求環保署應連油及桶都一併回收。

環保署沈世宏答詢時表示，廢棄食用油是有價值的，回收可以作為工業用清潔劑、肥皂等，如果廢棄食用倒入下水道或馬桶，可能造成汙染，而依規定廢食用油是應當回收，將發函全台各縣市環保局，下令全台清潔隊一致標準，應接受民眾持裝有油品的油瓶回收。
